About Dr. A. T. M. Mozammel Haque Bakul

Dr. A.T.M. Mozammel Haque is a distinguished public health professional and clinician with more than three decades of experience in Bangladesh’s health sector. His career spans leadership roles in the Directorate General of Health Services, where he played a pivotal role in national capacity strengthening through the design and implementation of large-scale in-service training programs for healthcare providers.
Dr. Haque holds an MPH with a concentration in hospital management and brings extensive expertise in health program management, curriculum development, and clinical training. Over his career, he has participated in numerous national and international trainings, workshops, and bilateral exchange programs, contributing to capacity building both within Bangladesh and abroad.
He has contributed to international collaborative research, including traing on promotion of agriculture health with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He also served as a Coordinator of arsenic-related health prohect of different universities of Japan and. studies, and has authored several scientific publications, including work featured in The Lancet.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Haque is also a recipient of the prestigious Scout Quaid-e-Azam Badge in 1967 reflecting his early foundation in discipline and leadership role.
He continues to serve the public health community through professional leadership, mentorship, and advocacy—committed to strengthening health systems and improving service delivery for populations across Bangladesh.
