About Khondoker Monir Hossen

Khondoker Monir Hossen is a public health and healthcare professional working in humanitarian and community health settings. He serves as an Executive Member of the Public Health Association of Bangladesh and previously led the Public Health Club at German University Bangladesh. He completed his Bachelor of Public Health at the same institution and earned his MSc in Food and Nutrition from the University of South Asia.
He has contributed to the Rohingya response in Cox’s Bazar for several years, supporting both host and refugee communities. His roles have included Program Health Officer, Outreach Health Officer, and Community Health Supervisor. Through these positions, he has developed strong skills in program planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, results-based management, and supportive supervision. He collaborates regularly with government agencies, partners, and humanitarian clusters to strengthen service delivery.
Khondoker is a Certified Master Trainer and resource person in Emergency Care Medicine and the Health Working Group. His specialized training covers NCD, IPC, SRH, family planning, and immunization. His field experience extends across outbreak response for diphtheria, measles, chickenpox, and COVID-19, as well as primary health care, emergency management, and community outreach.
Alongside his operational work, he is an active researcher with publications focused on public health, nutrition, and humanitarian response. He is recognized for his leadership, practical insight, and commitment to advancing health outcomes in resource-limited and crisis-affected environments. His work reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, equitable care, and strengthening public health systems to improve the well-being of vulnerable communities across Bangladesh.
